The world’s best smart learning thermostat has gotten even better. That’s right, Google-owned Nest has just released a new version of their thermostat that includes a much larger and higher-resolution display which will be easily readable across large rooms. The new display is roughly 40% larger (2.5-inches in diameter) and packs 229 pixels-per-inch, up 25% over the last model (pixel density enthusiasts will surely approve!).
A larger, crisper display isn’t the only new thing about the Nest Thermostat v3. Thanks to an improved motion sensor, the Thermostat has a much larger range and does a much better job at detecting when you’re around. There’s also a new feature which allows the Nest Thermostat to detect overheating issues which may signal the need for a furnace repair, something which may end up saving you a lot of money.
The new thermostat is on sale now on both nest.com and amazon.com for $ 249.
