If you’re looking for a full featured smartwatch then the MyKronoz ZePhone may be for you. As its name implies, this watch actually is able to substitute your smartphone. How? Since the device is running full Android and is equipped with a SIM slot, it can deliver full 3G connectivity, allowing you to receive and send texts as well as voice calls.
There’s more to the ZePhone than just that though. It actually features a built-in optical heart-rate monitor which’ll provide you with a real-time reading of your pulse rate. Additionally it features a robust set of fitness tracking features which’ll let you track your performance across a number of different exercises.
If you already know how to use a traditional smartphone then you’ll probably be able to navigate through the ZePhone just fine. Just swipe between different screens and click on the widget or app you want to interact with in order to open it up. There’s also built-in voice control which emulates many of the features of Google Now. Worried about battery life? Relax. The folks behind the ZePhone claim that it’ll get up to 3 days of battery life. There’s no word on the exact pricing and availability of the ZePhone but we assume we’ll be hearing a whole lot more about it over the coming months.
