Constant iteration is the name of Samsung’s game and in that spirit the Korea-based technology supertitan is releasing a new Galaxy S6 Edge+. Now we know what you’re thinking, “Didn’t the Galaxy S6 Edge just come out like, 3 months ago?” and you’re totally right but that’s Samsung for you. They don’t fear cannibalizing their own products one bit.
The real reason for an Edge+ release so quickly after the original Edge release is likely due to the mounting rumors that Samsung’s nemesis Apple is going to be releasing a product sometime in September. That’s probably why the Edge+ is suspiciously slated to launch just around the same time.
So what do we know about the phone so far? Well, thanks to leakers it appears that the Edge+ will feature a 5.5” 1080p curved edge display and the same internals of its smaller brother. An official announcement from Samsung is set to come on August 13th, and we’ll likely have more information on pricing and availability then.
