Polaroid pictures hold a special place in human history’s heart for being a convenient, fast, and enjoyable photography experience to last an infinite amount of lifetimes. It seems like the act of taking polaroids has declined in interest, let alone availability, and one can only wonder if there is any hope of a revival. Well, there is hope, and it combines the technology of today’s smartphone and yesterday’s vintage photo processing. Meet the Prynt; the next generation of polaroid for iPhone and Android all in one case.
Currently still in prototype and testing stages, the Prynt case is something to look forward to. Instead of having to pair with your smartphone through Bluetooth or wifi, there is a physical connection between your smartphone and Prynt that allows for more stable connection and functionality. The final product upon release is expected to be able to hold 10-30 sheets of photo paper, take less than 30 seconds from capture to finished print, and utilize software and paper qualities to allow users the ability to watch video only accessible through the correct photo. Think of it like Snapchat, but with physical photos. The Prynt case is expected to run at $ 99.
