Kodak Is Back With A Brand New Smartphone

It takes more than Chapter 11 Bankruptcy to kill the Kodak brand. The once iconic company has teamed up with UK mobile phone manufacturer Bullitt, in order to create their newest smartphone, the Kodak IM5. As you’d expect from a former giant in the photography space, the IM5 is undeniably photo focused. The phone features a 5 megapixel front facing “selfie cam” and a 13 megapixel rear camera. The photos are quite nice and actually look better than the majority of photos taken with the Android phones on the market today.

The other unique feature of the IM5 is its focus on simplicity. This phone isn’t meant for those of you who might want to customize it with the latest hot theme. Much like the iPhone, the home screen features a grid of app icons which serve as shortcuts to your email, phone dialer, messages, camera, and other features. In terms of specs, the IM5 runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and is powered by an octa-core 1.7GHz MediaTek processor. It also has a really nice looking 720p IPS display and is really lightweight, coming in at just 4.23 ounces. The phone will be retailing for $ 249 at the end of Q1 2015.
