The concept offers a preview of the upcoming TLX Type S.
Acura’s Type S line is returning after nearly a decade on hiatus with a new concept that previews the upcoming TLX Type S. With its wide track and lower stance, the concept is aggressive but not overly so. Uncluttered surfaces and sharper lines create a sleek and powerful silhouette while signature cues such as the Diamond Pentagon grille and Jewel Eye LED headlights are further refined to match the sportier look fo the car. Other features include a rear decklid spoiler crafted out of forged carbon and the front and rear splitters and side sills are also made out of the lightweight material. Look through the multi-spoke, 21-inch wheels and you’ll see that the Type S is equipped with drilled Brembo brakes with four-piston calipers.
